Father's Day Card Freebie

Hey Everybody--

I am way, way behind in posting an update here and there is so much to catch ya'll up on.  But for today, I just wanted to let you know that I have finally updated the Father's Card Freebie.  I've had many requests to get that done! Thank you for staying on top of me!  ;)

For those of you, who did not use the card in 2015--here is a little preview.

This card makes Father's Day so easy!  Just print, and have your "Littles" draw a picture of "Me and My Dad."  For students that are not drawing yet, you can use a real photo of his/her Dad, or have them find a photo in a magazine that they think resembles their Dad (This is always fun!)

There are lots of different versions included to represent boys, girls and many different cultures.  The black and white lined versions are also included for those needing to save on ink!

You can find these cards at File Folder Heaven Here:

In the Deep Blue Sea Adapted Book and Vocabulary Activities

"Way, way down, in the deep blue sea...
A wiggly little octopus, was as wiggly as can be!
  He wiggled by a seahorse.
And he wiggled by a fish.
He wiggled by a crab, with a "wiggle-wiggle-swish!"
He wiggled by a turtle.
And he wiggled by a whale.
He wiggled by a dolphin with a shiny, silver tail...."

-The Deep Blue Sea Adapted Book

Hey Everybody!

I am so happy to report that I have finally completed the updates for "The Deep Blue Sea Adapted Book" and corresponding vocabulary activities.  I know I say this all the time, but this may be my favorite adapted book ever.  It was the original book in the "Wiggly-Wiggly" (Bouncy-Bouncy, Gobbly-Gobbly) Series, and the ocean theme/unit is always one of my favorites!

So, similar to all of the recent updates, these downloads now include a new and improved adapted (interactive) book and sequencing stick activity:

A new sorting and classification activity:

A new Build A Scene/Positions Concepts Activity:

And a new set of interactive vocabulary cards:

The Wiggly Wiggly Inchworm Adapted Book And Vocabulary Activities

"Way out back, 'neath a tall, tall tree...
A wiggly little inchworm was as wiggly as can be!
  He wiggled by a grasshopper.
  He wiggled by a snail.
He wiggled by a lizard with a long and pointy tail!
  He wiggled by a ladybug.
  He wiggled by a bee.
He wiggled by a butterfly that fluttered by with glee...."

Hey Everybody--

I have been busy chugging along with updates and I have been trying to get some of my favorite spring books and activities updated.  I am so excited that I have just completed updates for The Wiggly Wiggly Inchworm.  This book is one of my spring favorites and is so much fun to incorporate into Insects, Bugs, and Backyard Critters Themes.

This interactive book focuses on insects and backyard critters vocabulary words and includes a sorting and classification activity, position words concepts, interactive vocabulary and labeling cards, interactive wh-question and answer pieces and a sequencing stick activity.

With this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as students follow along, matching a word and picture to each page.  After the story is complete, students answer wh- questions by matching interactive answer pieces to each question.  Students can also retell or sequence the events of the story on a "sequencing stick," sort animals that are insects and animals that are not, identify vocabulary words and arrange their positions in relation to each other, and label each animal in the story.

a bouncy little bunny was as bouncy as can be!
  He bounced upon a basket,

He bounced on top of chocolate,
and he bounced upon a chick.

  It's not very smart!
There was a Love Monster who swallowed a pen.

He swallowed the pen to write on the heart.
But I don't know why he swallowed the heart.
  It's not very smart!"
